In 2007, Indian Expressions collaborated with Real Media, the powerful marketing arm of the US$ 5 Billion ZEE network, to create a premium business award event that would showcase Asian business achievers and the efforts of Asian entrepreneurial titans who have contributed to the development of the region.
Held at the Emirates Place Hotel in Abu Dhabi, on December 8, 2007, Asian Business Awards Middle East™ was the region’s premier award event for recognizing exemplary business excellence in the Middle East.
In its inaugural year, ABA ME recognized and rewarded contributions of pioneering businesses and entrepreneurs through its eight Business Awards and three Arab Business Excellence Awards. With all the glitz, glamour and excitement of a world-class event, these outstanding individuals walked away with the exquisite ABA ME Trophy at the glittering Award Night, which was graced by an exceptional assembly of business titans and dignitaries from across the world. Hosted by renowned news presenter Riz Khan and featuring famous Arab musicians and leading Indian dancers and musicians, the ABA ME 2007 Awards ceremony and royal banquet was covered extensively by regional and global networks, with the telecast reaching more than three million viewers across the GCC and Middle East.
Instituted to recognize, award and celebrate business excellence within the Asian community and nurture economic relations between the Middle East and the sub-continent, Indian Expressions unequivocally believes that the initiative will spur further growth, cross investment opportunities and promote substantial business practice between the two regions.
